The concession is the result of a Europe-wide call for bids. Michael C Wisser, CEO of WISAG Aviation Services, commented: “We are very happy that as a company from Hessen and especially from Frankfurt, we can now offer our ground services at our local airport. This way, we have come full circle; from now on, we can supply our customers in our hometown, not only in the divisions of WISAG Facility Service and WISAG Industry Service with their full range of services, but also with our WISAG Aviation Service. Hence, we can now become a full service partner with our youngest business branch on our domestic market as well.”
WISAG Aviation Service succeeds Acciona Airport Services Frankfurt, a subsidiary of the Spanish Acciona Group. It is anticipated that WISAG will continue to employ all the existing personnel from Acciona.
