Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminals has finished the year on a high.
The cargo division of the airport accounts for around 50% of all the freight that moves through Shanghai Pudong, and by November last it had already handled more cargo than the total accrued during 2013. This translated into a growth figure of 16.3%.
During November 2014, some 1.37m tonnes of freight moved through Pactl, representing a 5.6% increase over Pactl's processing for the entire year of 2013. Equally healthy was international cargo in November, which posted an increase of 13.9% (to 137,523 tonnes); domestic cargo also flourished, being up 13% to attain a total of 147,267 tonnes, which constituted an all-time monthly record.
