Lödige Industries has doubled handling capacity at Saigon Cargo Service Corporation with a second Elevating Transfer Vehicle (ETV) and more storage positions.
The first phase of the project was completed in 2010 with a 20-foot ETV and a 150-bay storage system.
The potential to double capacity was considered in the planning phase, which has been done with the second ETV and another 150 storage positions.
The second phase started in 2022 with the new ETV being integrated into the existing system and the programmable logic controller was modernised.
Patrick Ho, Senior Project Manager at Lödige Industries, said: “The project was designed for a possible expansion right from the start. That's why doubling the handling capacity during ongoing operations was particularly seamless here, especially as we have extensive expertise in the expansion of existing cargo facilities.”
