The maintenance contract covers the Automatic Cargo Handling System (ACHS), the Pallet Cargo Handling System (PCHS), and the mechanical systems in the cool and perishable terminals.
It also covers the first material handling system Lödige installed in Asia, which has operated since 1979 and is being upgraded.
Sam Gould, Head of Cargo at dnata Singapore, said: “Our partnership with Lödige Industries is the best we could have chosen, not only because they have extensive experience and knowledge in this field, but also because they understand our needs and have consistently proven themselves to have a high level of reliability.”
Ranga Jayaweera, General Manager for Singapore at Lödige Industries, added: “Maintaining a fundamentally functioning system of good quality and adapting it to new challenges through upgrades can be the most effective solution in this case. We are very pleased to support dnata once again.”
Lödige has previously upgraded the perishable centre and implemented an elevated transfer vehicle (ETV) system for dnata in Singapore.
It has also supported dnata by upgrading cargo terminals at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, London Heathrow and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol airports.
At London Heathrow Airport, Lödige completed dnata City East Phase Two and is supplying equipment for dnata’s new cargo terminal at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, which is due to open this year.
