The solution will integrate with other IT systems at dnata’s new Amsterdam Airport Schiphol cargo facility to optimise resource planning and utilisation, shorten dock turnaround and provide operational performance data.
Slot scheduling linked to automated access control and call-forwarding will allow dnata to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs with forwarders and trucking companies for a smooth truck flow in the yard.
Nallian’s solution will integrate with Hermes’ Cargo Management System and Lödige Industries’ Terminal Management System to maximise automation and efficiency.
dnata will benefit from greater visibility as it will know who visited for what freight and the status of the freight.
This will provide better staff planning, proactive goods preparation, optimal dock door usage and fast and reliable services.
Customers will enjoy better service, shorter dock turnaround times and service predictability.
Data captured from arrival to departure will provide dnata with performance insights.
Tony Davies, Director of Operations at dnata, said: “Nallian’s innovative system will support us in streamlining processes and enhancing control and visibility across our operations. With our new, future-proof digital infrastructure, we are in the perfect position to meet the evolving demands of the air cargo industry and continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.”
Jean Verheyen, CEO of Nallian, added: “The new, automated warehouse is an example for the industry and this project demonstrates our product and team’s ability to optimise complex landside management processes. dnata has a clear ambition to drive efficiency through technology and we’re proud to work with them and raise the bar for modern cargo handling.”
dnata Cargo City Amsterdam is scheduled to become operational in mid-2025 and will have over 850,000 tonnes of annual cargo capacity.
