Global Load Control reaches 9 millionth load sheet milestone

Global Load Control (GLC) has achieved the milestone of completing 9 million load sheets after almost two decades in business

The company says this significant achievement stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the GLC team to providing seamless centralised load control services.

GLC started its pioneering mission in centralized load control with Lufthansa in 2004. Over the years, it has expanded its customer base that now exceeds 20 prestigious airlines. These partners operate from over 400 airports, spanning six continents.

Notably, GLC extends its services to both passenger and cargo carriers, including the likes of Eurowings, Eurowings Discover, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Icelandair, to name a few, and even ground handlers, servicing charter airlines such as Airport Services Leipzig and Airport Services Dresden.

GlC's primary hub is situated in Cape Town, South Africa, while the secondary office graces is in Serbia. This dual presence ensures uninterrupted services to customers across two continents.

With a combined workforce of over 210 highly skilled aviation professionals spanning both offices, GLC is primed for excellence in aviation support.

9 million memories: Celebrating a legacy of safety and punctuality

During a heartfelt celebration, Team Leader Unathi Kewana, who started her journey as a load control agent 6 years ago, said: "9 Million load sheets are not just 9 million flights for our customers but 9 million memories for GLC."

Despite the difficulties faced during the Covid pandemic GLC has emerged stronger and wiser, carrying with it the invaluable experience of being the first to offer CLC services.

The diversification of its services in recent years has ensured that GLC remains adaptable and relevant in an ever-changing aviation market.

With a comprehensive suite of offerings, including Centralized Load Control, Database Management, DGR and Special Load Management, Advisory Services, Flight Planning, and Dispatch, GLC has harnessed a highly automated and process-driven approach to maintain its position as the foremost remote aviation services provider.

"As Global Load Control celebrates the significance of this momentous achievement, it eagerly anticipates its 20th-year celebration next year. With a track record of excellence, innovation, and unwavering dedication to its customers, Global Load Control is poised to continue soaring to new heights in the aviation industry and redefine the future of aviation support services," said a company spokesman.
