Etihad Cargo signs agreement for DoKaSch Opticooler

Etihad Cargo has signed a master agreement for the DoKaSch Opticooler container, enabling it to expand its TempCheck service offering for temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals.

With Etihad Cargo we are able to expand our service network for Opticoolers further. All leading airlines of the Middle East are now our partners as they want to offer their clients the most reliable packaging solution to transport highly temperature-sensitive air cargo shipments,” said Andreas Seitz, Managing Director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.

The electric airconditioned Opticooler keeps pharmaceuticals within their temperature range, regardless of environmental conditions, and is considered the most reliable among similar products. Just like in a normal warehouse, a constant temperature can be maintained if the Opticooler is occasionally connected to the power grid.

Justin Carr, Vice President Etihad Cargo, said that “closer customer engagement” is the carrier’s main objective in 2018. “By adding additional solutions for the most critical, time- and temperature-sensitive shipments, we are moving in the right direction to cater to our customers’ needs, hand in hand with DoKaSch Temperature Solutions,” he said.

“We offer a specially designed product using the latest equipment, processes and SOPs to keep the cargo’s integrity and make sure it arrives in the quickest possible time adhering to the highest compliance guidelines,” Carr added.

Apart from its cargo hub in Abu Dhabi, the agreement between DoKaSch and Etihad Cargo makes the Opticooler available across the carrier’s whole network of more than 90 destinations in over 50 countries.
