China Airlines wins Air Cargo Excellence award

China Airlines recently received the gold prize in the one million-or-more-tonnes category of the Air Cargo Excellence Awards 2017.

In past years, the carrier has achieved the diamond and platinum prizes in the same category of the awards, launched in 2005 by Air Cargo World magazine. Winners are determined based on the results of a survey in which forwarders rate airlines on customer service, performance and value.

In 2015, China Airlines was the world's seventh largest cargo carrier by volume, handling 1.3m tonnes of freight, according to IATA’s data.

Currently, the airline's fleet comprises 97 aircraft, including 21 freighters, used to operate 88 cargo flights a week to 93 destinations across the globe.
