Cargogate is a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich Airport, which operates a 17,000 square metre warehouse where it provides acceptance, sorting, assembly and handover services as well as customs and dangerous goods formalities.
CHI Aviation Handling, part of CHI Cargo Group, provides freight forwarding, airline handling and other services at Frankfurt, Nuremburg, Hamburg and Amsterdam airports, and will expand its portfolio to include airline handling in Munich.
The joint venture will continue under its current name until further notice and the acquisition of shares in January 2025 is subject to regulatory approval.
The jobs of the 150 employees have been contractually secured.
