Killeen-Fort Hood Regional airport, which is located in central Texas, and Lehigh Valley International, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, are both moving away from the traditional common-use system and implementing the Amadeus Extended Airline System Environment (or EASE). This is a hybrid, common-use infrastructure platform which is also an expandable passenger processing solution, one that allows any equipped ticket counter or gate workstation to be used by any airline serving the airport.
Amadeus' EASE can be implemented at any airport, regardless of its size, and at a cost significantly below that of traditional common-use systems. It is distinguished by its ability to provide airport operators the flexibility they need to optimise the resource allocation required for processing passengers.
With the addition of Killeen-Fort Hood Regional and Lehigh Valley airports, EASE is now operational at 51 airports in the US.
