
Rajamani succeeds Mike Chew, who had held the position since October 2015.
Rajamani has over 15 years of experience in the military and civil aviation sectors, beginning his career with the Defence Science and Technology Agency ensuring reliability of fighter jets for the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
Rajamani joined SATS in 2011 as head of the engineering team. Under his able leadership, the team later won the first patent for the organisation. He also won Singapore’s prestigious National Productivity Award in 2016 for his contribution to SATS.
Commenting on his appointment, Rajamani said, “I am honoured to have this opportunity to lead AISATS in a new direction. AISATS has served the Indian market with merit by introducing many pioneering initiatives within the ground handling industry. With the use of technology and digitisation our aim is to deliver trendsetting airport solutions thereby enhancing the customer experience. With a strong leadership team now in place, we will continue to enable and empower our employees to deliver service excellence with passion. I look forward to establishing AISATS as the preferred airport solutions partner.”
Rajamani has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering as well as a Master’s in Logistics from Singapore University. Following this, he obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University and IATA.
