The Boschung Group in Payerne has announced the delivery of a total of 12 winter maintenance vehicles to Dalian
Zhoushuizi International airport. The order comprises ten Jetbroom snow removal vehicles and two de-icers. A total of 18 jetbrooms, two de-icing vehicles, a Pony multipurpose carrier and an ice early-warning system from Boschung are now in use at Dalian.
The Chinese port city of Dalian on the Yellow Sea has an important aviation hub with its Dalian Zhoushuizi airport. Flights to and from Japan, Korea and Russia as well as numerous domestic flights, are handled here. Dalian has a continental climate influenced by the monsoon, with humid summers and cold winters. During the cold months,
the average temperature drops to below zero with considerable precipitation, so the airport has to provide the necessary capacity for winter maintenance.
