Multihogs are now in operation around the world, and are particularly of interest in locations where winter weather carries with it a threat of potential disruption to airport operations.
Whilst the specialist builder has not sold any of its products to handling companies per se, airports have been quick to realise the potential of a vehicle that can fulfil a multitude of rôles. Ploughs and brushes and even de-icing equipment can be fitted; some recipients have requested grit and salt spreading applications and snow blowers are equally viable. Airports in Canada such as Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Quebec have all found the Multihog approach has worked well.
The manufacturer recently added a very narrow chassis MX range to its portfolio to enhance further the versatility of this equipment.
