The carrier commenced five Airbus A350-900 flights a week at the end of May, which connect Singapore and Stockholm Arlanda airport via Moscow. WFS expects to handle 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes of cargo a year in Stockholm for Singapore Airlines.
This is the second new contract in Sweden for WFS. In June, WFS also announced it had won a contract with Qatar Airways in Stockholm to handle some 12,000 tonnes of cargo a year, carried on board the airline’s 13 flights to Doha each week.
“Singapore Airlines’ decision to work with WFS at yet another station in Europe is another big boost for our cargo business in the region,” commented Marc Claesen, WFS’ Regional Vice President. “It also once again reflects our ability to meet the highest service standards set by the world’s leading airlines.”
