Talma handles cargo for Shakira's concert in Lima

Talma has built on its success of handling concert cargo for international artists by making Shakira’s performance in Lima a reality.

In 2024, Talma handled more than 1,000 tonnes of production equipment and musical instruments, providing logistics support for artists including Paul McCartney, Luis Miguel, Lenny Kravitz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Aventura, Sam Smith, Karol G, Feid, Morat and Louis Tomlinson.

Each show requires planning to move equipment including lights, LED screens, structures, scenery, musical instruments and sound consoles.

Carlos Garcia-Leon, Cargo Business Unit Manager at Talma Peru, said: “At Talma, we have an expert team and optimised processes that guarantee the safety of every operation. We are proud to be part of the logistics chain that makes it possible for millions of Peruvians to enjoy these first-class shows.”

Most recently, Talma handled equipment for Shakira’s highly-anticipated concert at the National Stadium, which involved handling more than 480 tons of imports and exports of musical instruments and production equipment.

Rock-It Cargo, which operates in Peru under the name Waiver Logistics, was responsible for the logistics of Shakira’s concert, coordinating international and domestic transfers of equipment.

National Air Cargo, represented by Candy Aviation, and LATAM Cargo, Avianca Cargo and Aercaribe transported scenery, instruments and equipment so they arrived on time.

Talma handled the equipment, taking responsibility for reception and storage so each item arrived on time in perfect condition.

Garcia-Leon said: “With an expanding concert calendar in Peru, we expect to handle around 1,100,000 kilos of cargo in 2025, consolidating ourselves as a key partner in the logistics of large-scale shows.”
