The Kyiv Post, a weekly English newspaper that is published in Ukraine, reveals that Swissport is to exit the ground handling scene in the Ukraine.
Readers will know that the ground handler has been fighting a legal battle for many months in an attempt to regain control of its former Ukraine ground handling operation. The last report, in November 2014, saw Ukraine's Supreme Court on Economic Affairs legitimise Ukraine International Airlines' purchase of a 70.6% stake in Swissport Ukraine, an airport service and cargo handling company that used to be a joint venture involving both entities. The entity is now named Interavia.
