Swissport has revealed the extent of its enhanced business activities for 2017.
Last year Swissport increased the number of passengers served on behalf of its airline clients to some 250m (up 8.7% on 2016) and lifted the number of cargo tonnes handled to some 4.7m (an increase of 8.4% year-on-year).
At the year's end, the company was present at 279 airports in 48 countries around the globe, and boasted a workforce of 65,000. Total revenues increased to CHF 3.1bn in 2017, which represented an increase of 6.4% on the previous year; for the ground handling segment proper, revenues were up 5.7% to reach CHF2.5bn.
