In 2021, it handled 5.1 million tons, up from 4.6 million in 2019, making up for passenger numbers remaining well below pre-Covid levels.
Ground services handled two million flights, about half of pre-pandemic levels, and 97 million passengers, down from 265 million in 2019.
With travel restrictions easing, Swissport will create 17,000 new jobs worldwide in anticipation of increased demand.
The jobs will be primarily in front-line roles for passenger services and ramp handling services.
