Swissport and Hong Kong Airlines extend contract in Japan

Swissport and Hong Kong Airlines have renewed their partnership in Japan, extending it until 2025.

The 3-year contract extension covers ground services and cargo handling at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport and Kansai Airport in Osaka.

Since July 2016, Swissport has been providing Hong Kong Airlines with passenger services, ramp handling, cabin cleaning, and cargo handling, and prior to the pandemic, the airline was operating 3 flights a day to both Narita and Kansai airports.

Brad Moore, Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Swissport, said: “We are pleased to extend our successful partnership with Hong Kong Airlines in Japan. We’re looking forward to seeing their aircraft and volumes return back to pre-COVID numbers as travel restrictions continue to ease across much of Asia.”

Stephan Kaeser, Director and COO of Swissport Japan, added: “The extension of the partnership is the result of our close and fruitful cooperation which never ceased throughout the ongoing pandemic in Asia, and we value the trust from Hong Kong Airlines. We look forward to continuing to deliver day in and day out for them.”
