Singapore Airlines has awarded Swissport contracts at Melbourne and Brisbane airports starting in May.

Swissport will provide ramp handling and passenger services for more than 40 flights a week when the contract starts on 21 May.

Singapore Airlines’ schedule consists of four daily flights in Melbourne and three in Brisbane with a range of aircraft types.

Brad Moore, Managing Director of APAC at Swissport said: “Our continued success with major international carriers has cemented our place as the safest and highest-quality provider of ground services to airlines in this region. In both Melbourne and Brisbane, the new Singapore Airlines contract will generate training and development opportunities along with employment opportunities for new colleagues.”

Swissport has also started providing ground services for Singapore Airlines in Cairns, Queensland, and it services the airline at several airports in Europe and North America.
