Skyport handles cargo for SkyUp in Prague

Skyport has been awarded the contract to handle import and export cargo for SkyUp at Prague Airport.

The Ukrainian airline is operating cargo services between Boryspil International Airport in Kiev and Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport.

Operations started at the end of October and Skyport expects to handle all types of freight from general cargo and air mail to dangerous goods, pharma, live animals and valuable cargo.

David Adamek, CEO of Skyport says: “The Ukraine market has been traditionally very strong in terms of cargo and mail volumes, and we are pleased to have been entrusted to partner with SkyUp to meet the growing needs of the cargo market in this region.”

Dmytro Seroukhov, CEO of SkyUp Airlines says the airline started transporting cargo at the start of the pandemic to bring medical cargo from China to Ukraine and the EU, and has continued to carry cargo in luggage compartments.

He says: “We believe in the potential of this area, and our cooperation with Skyport is the next step towards growth together with our reliable partners.”
