Abdulla Bin Zayed joined CEO Danny Vranckx and COO Bart Kroonenberg to mark the special occasion of the opening, which took place in the Al Qusais Industrial Area, near Dubai Airport.
The workshop will be a vital hub for many airlines and handlers to access the services they need for their GSE.
This includes repair and maintenance, refurbishment, spare parts supply and after sales support. It complements their existing facilities in Belgium, Holland and Spain.
Vranckx said: "The opening of the new branch in Dubai was a great way for us to start the year. It was a milestone in our history, made extra special with the presence of Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed.
"We are closer to our customers and can attract new clients in the Middle East and Africa region as well as the Far East."
Aviaco, one of the largest companies in the world supplying refurbished GSE and rental solutions for the industry,has been busy converting GSE from diesel to electric to meet market demand.
“We are offering large cost-savings to customers at a time when companies don’t want to invest in brand new electric vehicles,” he added.
