From STARS Airline Services comes SAFEOPS, described as a workbox tool to help staff involved with the turnaround.
The solution relies on SAFE.Ops, which is a Web-based application, working in conjunction with SAFE.App, an Android application for the handler. Thanks to this marriage, flights can be better programmed and catered for, since the system is designed to function in real time. Supervision is thus guaranteed to the point that the operative in the control room has the power to optimise the process, wherever he is based.
Transparency is therefore assured and the application has already been successfully rolled out at Tunis Carthage airport, in Tunisia. Totally new, this concept looks set to become a mainstay of the aircraft turnaround procedure.
