On September 25 2018, Saudi Ground Services Company concluded its operations for the Hajj season.
For the outbound operational phase, serving the Hajj flights from King Abdul Aziz International airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International airport In Madinah, SGS dedicated its technical and manpower resources to facilitate these annual pilgrimage flights.
The statistics make for impressive reading: overall, some 1.2m pilgrims boarded a total of 4,425 dedicated Hajj flights, with SGS also responsible for the handling of approximately 2.5m items of baggage.
