Rui Gomes has joined from Samsic Portugal to take the position of Vice President Portugal, giving him overall responsibility for operations in the country and the proposed recovery plan for Groundforce Portugal.
Michael Stratman has returned to Menzies to take the role of COO Portugal having previously held roles including VP Italy, VP Operations South Africa and Namibia, and GM Operations Spain and France.
Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson, Executive Vice President Europe at Menzies Aviation, said: “I am confident that with Rui and Michael onboard, we have the right team to support and build our presence in Southern Europe. It is the next step towards the recovery of Groundforce, reinforcing our commitment to deliver industry leading services to airline and airport customers across the region.”
