
The acquisition of Spirit Cargo Handling, previously owned by SAS Ground Handling Norway, boosts Menzies’ cargo handling capacity by 150,000 tonnes per annum.
It will focus on handling high-demand products like salmon as well as general cargo and freighter services.
Menzies will take responsibility for the Spirit cargo warehouse at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, employee contracts and existing freighter operations.
Once the deal is complete, Spirit’s cargo operations will be rebranded under Menzies Aviation.
