Menzies Aviation has acquired FARNAIR Handling, a Budapest-based cargo handler, from ASL.
FARNAIR Handling, which was founded in 2004, provides a complete spectrum of cargo warehouse and ramp handling services at Budapest airport, including security, customs agency and transportation activities. In 2016, it handled more than 19,600 tonnes of cargo on behalf of various airlines and GSA and road feeder services customers.
Menzies Aviation already operates ground handling and executive lounge businesses at Budapest airport, and sees the acquisition as one that will further enhance its activities at the airport.
