Menzies Aviation and Shell Aviation have extended their long-standing partnership in the UK through a contract renewal adding Liverpool John Lennon Airport to the network.

Following a competitive tender process, the two companies have extended their contract to cover into-plane refuelling across Shell Aviation’s network of seven UK airports.

The contract covers London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Birmingham and Manchester, and the extension now covers Liverpool.

Morven McCrindle, Executive Vice President – Fuels at Menzies Aviation says: “We have a long-standing relationship with Shell Aviation in the UK and have increasingly grown our fuels service provision for them, taking our partnership from strength to strength. This latest award sees a further expansion of our fuels business and we are delighted to continue working with Shell as we look to grow our fuels portfolio globally.”

Christos Papastergiou, Regional Operations Manager at Shell Aviation adds: “Menzies have a strong track record as a safe and efficient operator. We value their approach to continuous improvement and Menzies continually seek new solutions for Shell and our customers. We’re pleased to extend this long-term partnership.”
