This expansion into Italy is the result of an agreement with one of FCO’s into-plane (ITP) providers, Levorato Marcevaggi, and means customers can now refuel with Shell at all ten of Europe’s busiest airports.
The first carrier to benefit from this expansion in Shell Aviation’s network is Polish charter carrier Enter Air, which commenced flying from FCO on the 29 September.
“We’re looking forward to working with Levorato Marcevaggi to provide both commercial and cargo airlines at FCO with the high standards of safety and efficiency they have come to expect from us across our global refuelling operations”, said Ashleigh McDougall, Head of Shell Aviation, Europe and South Africa.
The expansion to FCO builds on Shell Aviation and Levorato Marcevaggi’s existing relationship which already includes airports in Brussels, Belgium and Prague, Czech Republic.
Marco Marsili, Country Chair of Shell Italy, commented: "As Italy’s busiest airport by passenger numbers, FCO is an exciting addition to our extensive European refuelling network. I am very pleased that we are available to Shell Aviation’s customers in Italy again, helping to support their growth as well as the progress of the country’s aviation industry.”
