Kalmar Motor's FB600EL fully electric 60 tonne conventional tractor has been delivered to Aviator in Copenhagen International airport via the German leasing company, HiServ .
The FB600EL will predominantly be utilised in Copenhagen for A380 pushback duties and towing, and entered operational service on June 29th 2020. With its lithium powered battery system and high output motor, this particular tractor is capable of handling aircraft with zero emissions, vastly reduced noise and at a fraction of the usual diesel powered operating and maintenance costs.
The Kalmar Motor FB600EL's electric system is based on the well proven technology used in the Kalmar Motor towbarless tractors, which have been operating around the world since 2009.
