UK-based JLC Group has announced its first crocodile export order.
The company, which took over some Houchin ground power staff four years ago, has been active in the UK since that time looking after ITWGSE ground power units and associated crocodile cable carriers. More recently, it decided to fabricate its own crocodile systems. Subsequent trials with its new product at both London Gatwick and Birmingham proved successful.
Currently, it has a trial running at Heathrow with crocodile technology and is tendering at Birmingham and Manchester airports. Interest in this technology, which tidies up the working area on the ramp and reduces the chances of damaged cabling, has led to an order for nine units from Lisbon airport. Support and maintenance packages are also available from the manufacturer.
