ITW GSE launches new electric GPU

GSE Focus
Unlike other 28 VDC units on the market, ITW's 7400 JetEx has a very high battery capacity that allows for days of use before it needs to be recharged.

The unit is powerful enough to perform at least 100 starts on a full charge and voltage quality delivered is described as excellent.

To the benefit of operators and staff alike, the purely battery powered GPU is extremely quiet and it neither causes NOx nor CO2 emissions. This makes the eGPU ideal for hangars and for remote use, too. Apart from providing a comfortable working environment, the new model also limits an operation's running costs, because it does not contain any rotating parts, and is less subject to wear and tear. In this way it is deemed a useful addition to any ground support equipment fleet.

The JetEx can provide power to aircraft like the Cessna Citation, Beechcraft, Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, ATR 42 and ATR 72 and Bombardier Q Series / Dash 8, alongside other aircraft as well. Worth mentioning here is that the JetEx is so small that it can easily pass under an aircraft wing. It can be charged from any 50/60 Hz socket; moreover, it can supply power and be recharged at the same time, and is fully compliant with California Energy Commission legislation.
