During the visit of a Danish Aviation delegation in the United Arab Emirates, headed by then Danish Minister for Business and Growth Troels Lund Poulsen, a contract was signed at the Danish Consul General’s residence.
The contract includes 52 units of 400 Hz ground power units and related equipment that will be installed under the passenger boarding bridges in Dubai airport, at Concourse 1. The installation is to take place during the second quarter of 2017 and the GPUs will mainly be used to deliver electric power to aircraft from Emirates Airlines while parked on the apron.
The contract supports ITW GSE’s position as a leading supplier of critical connections to aircraft and brings the total number of installed systems in the UAE above 500 pieces, 300 of which are either at the gates or in Emirates Airline’s hangar facilities at Dubai airport.
