Hawaiian ratifies five year staff deal

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Districts 141 and 142 has announced that members at Hawaiian Airlines have overwhelmingly endorsed recent tentative agreements that concern the airline's staff.

Some 2,200 mechanic and related clerical, office, stores, fleet service and passenger service employees who work for the carrier are to benefit from the five year agreement, which will ensure salary increases and enhanced job security, whilst also targeting the cost of healthcare.

The new contracts also included profit sharing and other incentive programmes. In the event, it was IAM Districts 141 and 142 which initiated contract negotiations with Hawaiian Airlines (back in December 2013) and which announced tentative agreements last month.
