Finnair adds Helsinki route to new cargo hub in London

Cargo Matters
Finnair will add belly cargo capacity to its route between London Heathrow and Helsinki from the beginning of winter season, starting on October 25 2015. The service will operate three weekly frequencies with a wide-body aircraft, to facilitate increased cargo demand on this route.

Finnair has recently established its third cargo hub in London to better connect the UK with its extensive Asian network. Finnair has additional cargo hubs in Brussels, Belgium and Helsinki.

The added cargo capacity on the London - Helsinki route complements the freighter service Finnair and IAG Cargo share between the cities as well as the 35 weekly frequencies with A320 series aircraft.

"Our customers value Finnair's world-class punctuality and reliability and we continue to demonstrate our commitment to offering the highest quality cargo handling. The added wide-body capacity will be a great help in better connecting us with IAG Cargo's network," says Antti Kuusenmäki, Head of Finnair Cargo.

Finnair Cargo will serve the London hub with wide-body aircraft on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, and with freighter aircraft on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
