Since then it has since successfully expanded into regional and long-haul scheduled passenger flights, including a London/Lagos route.
Faced with an immediate requirement to service its passengers from London's Gatwick to Lagos, Med-View was put in touch with Damarel, a UK IT solutions provider. The carrier contacted Damarel on a Monday, asking whether a DCS could be up and running by Friday the same week.
Damarel confirmed that it was perfectly achievable, and liaising with the IT team at Gatwick, Damarel was able to integrate the L-DCS with the Common Use network and Type B messaging. Training was carried out for the Med-View supervisor and check-in staff at Damarel’s Training centre near Farnham, and the support team were on site prior to check-in to ensure the smooth processing of 250 passengers on the Friday evening flight. In all, the process had taken 100 hours, evidence that the product is intuitive, easy to set up and straightforward to roll out.
