Aviramp UK recently announced a major milestone in its strategy for global expansion with the signing of a contract from Dallas/Fort Worth International for seven of its innovative aircraft boarding ramps.
As previously contracted, the closing of this deal was subject to evaluation of previous purchases. Dallas/Fort Worth took delivery of two models of Aviramp's aircraft boarding ramps for evaluation; expectations were exceeded, and the airport awarded this year's order for two of the smaller Domestic models (which service smaller regional jets) and four of the larger Continental models, which service aircraft such as the A319 and Boeing's 737: these were expected to be delivered in May 2014.
Furthermore, the order included an International model, which is to assist on aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. The order was actually placed when this particular model was at the design stage, awaiting prototypical development.
