Aviramp portable boarding bridge

GSE Focus
Independent company Aviramp has launched the only portable, remote stand/walk through boarding bridge, capable of servicing wide bodied aircraft such as the A380.

Aviramp says that this development will improve safety, operational efficiency and achieve a universal seamless passenger experience for everyone from the disabled and the elderly to families with children. The bridge can be used on all wide bodied aircraft, down to a narrow bodied A320; and Aviramp has a variety of portable jet bridges and boarding ramps to service even the smallest of aircraft, such as private jets.

Aviramp's patented aircraft boarding ramps are changing the way airline passengers board and disembark aircraft and fast becoming an industry standard. Aviramp has acquired worldwide recognition and commitment for their products, from countries such as Australia, Japan, the Middle East and North America, as well as many parts of Europe. On April 10, Aviramp announced the signing of a contract with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, USA, for seven of its innovative aircraft boarding ramps, marking a major milestone in its plans for global expansion.

Aviramp's product has also effected changes in legislation in places like Norway and Sweden, where ramp access is now the preferred method of access to an aircraft for reasons of safety and of customer satisfaction. It is sought after by airports, airlines, ground handlers and passengers, as the benefits are so universally attractive. Not only does it improve passenger flow times and minimise delays, but it also helps reduce the need for expensive infrastructure due to its portability and diversity of application.
