The Suite, as it is named, is double the size of the airline’s previous lounge at the terminal, accommodating 160 guests as standard, with the potential to take an additional 100 at “peak moments,” the airline has said.
The Suite offers its guests quiet zones, including working and reading areas, as well as food and beverage options that embrace the “Belgian spirit”, including Belgian beers, Belgian media, Belgian culinary delights and even regional artwork in the way of “impressions of the surrealist art of René Magritte,” Brussels Airlines said in a press release.
The new lounge will be open to passengers travelling from Terminal B on the carrier’s short and medium-haul non-Schengen services to various destinations including Moscow, Tel Aviv, the UK, Morocco, in addition to Brussels Airlines flights to the US and Canada, and Star Alliance partner services.
Brussels Airlines' Chief Commercial Officer, Lars Redeligx, said that the launch reiterated the carrier's position as the leading airline in Brussels, adding that, "The Suite illustrates once more our dedication to continuously improve the travel experience for our guests, both in the air and on the ground."
