TLD has engineered the first all-electric turnaround operation.
The flight involved was that of Air France, which was bound for Delhi on September 3.
For the special occasion the aircraft, an Airbus A350-9, was handled with 100% electric GSE from TLD. This included a TLD NBL retrofitted by Air France with Carwatt technology; a TXL838 ReGen loader; an TLD/Lebrun CF40 air conditioning unit and a TPX-200-XE pushback tractor.
Talked about for many months by the sector, the reality of all-electric ground handling is no longer a distant dream.
