Beijing Daxing International airport, the new mega airport to serve the Chinese capital (and which is due to open at the end of September this year), has selected Xsight Systems’ FOD Detection solution for installation on its East and North runways. This contract joins another project that Xsight System was awarded in China earlier this year, at Beijing Capital International airport.
Other leading airports utilising Xsight's FOD technology are Boston Logan International, Seattle-Tacoma, Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion International and Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi.
"As China is becoming the largest aviation market, with intensive growth in air traffic, grows the need for a runway threat detection solution to boost both safety and capacity of airport runways", commented Alex Koren, Xsight Systems' CEO.
