BGS wins two new fuel supply contracts

BGS, an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fuelling services, has won a tender to supply fuel to Ukrainian airports for Turkish Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.

Following the successful partnership in 2016, BGS has extended its contract for service with the Turkish national air carrier in Lviv airport. Simultaneously, LOT Polish Airlines has become a new partner in the airport of Odessa.

Throughout 2017, BGS plans to supply at least 2,000 tonnes of aircraft fuel to these partners in the Ukraine. Altogether, BGS services 15 air carriers in four Ukrainian airports: Kiev (Zhuliany and Boryspil), Odessa and Lviv. During 2016, these airports were supplied with almost 30,000 tonnes of aviation fuel. In the same year, the entire BGS-served airport network, comprising Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine, was supplied with almost 250,000 tonnes of aircraft fuel, or 80% more compared to the previous year. In 2017, the company plans to increase the quantity supplied to as much as 350,000 tonnes overall.
