WFS handles American Airlines in Copenhagen

Cargo Airports UK & Europe
American Airlines has selected Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo handling services at Copenhagen Airport for its daily services from Philadelphia.

The daily Boeing 787 services will be supported by WFS’ continued investments in cargo and premium products handling infrastructure at the Danish capital’s airport.

At the end of 2022, WFS opened its third cargo terminal at the airport, adding 3,700 square metres of capacity.

Copenhagen is one of more than 25 airports in WFS’ network with a dedicated GDP-certified pharmaceutical handling facility to support customers working with the pharma and life science business community located in Greater Copenhagen’s Medicon Valley.

Paul Allen, American Airlines Regional Manager Cargo Operations – EMEA, said: “We have a good working relationship with WFS at all levels and with the Copenhagen area known for pharma traffic, we hope and expect to be able to tap into that market.”

Marc Claesen, Senior Vice President Commercial EMEAA at WFS, added: “This contract has been earned by our investments in modern terminal facilities and our ability to handle premium pharma cargoes as well as WFS’ strong understanding of the airline’s high service requirements.”
