At the end of April, Virgin Atlantic opened a £2.5m Clubhouse lounge in Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International airport.

A collaborative effort between Virgin's in-house design team and Slade Architecture, the 4,000 square metre facility is the airline's eleventh Clubhouse. Virgin's New York JFK and Newark Liberty airport Clubhouses were also designed by Slade Architecture.
The contemporary lounge is decked out with a copper-lined bar and artwork by both Californian artists and British artists. It also features a restaurant for which the airline partnered with LA's Hinoki & Bird to devise a menu with three signature dishes – green papaya salad, chilli crab toast and miso doughnuts.
