Finnair has selected Swissport to provide ramp handling services for its long-haul fleet at Helsinki Airport.
Swissport will service wide-body Airbus A330s and A350s as the airline increases long-haul services to Asia and the US.
Jan van Engelen, Head of Continental Europe region at Swissport says: “The increase in long-haul flights is an important step towards further strengthening our partnership. With our innovation and operational excellence on the ground we will support Finnair’s successful growth.”
Swissport and Finnair have a long-standing partnership in Helsinki. In October, they extended their partnership for Swissport to operate Finnair’s COOL Cargo warehouse until 2026.
Since 2018, Swissport has also provided ground handling services for Finnair’s subsidiary, NORRA Nordic Regional Airlines.
