
The Melbourne cargo centre at Tullamarine Airport is the closest facility with direct airside access, covering 9,366 square metres including almost 5,000 square metres of warehouse space.
It has temperature-controlled storage systems to handle perishables and pharmaceuticals, maintaining 2-8C and 15-25C temperature ranges.
In Sydney, Swissport has increased its total handling area to 4,500 square metres with a newly-renovated facility.
The temperature-controlled facility is equipped to handle cargo including perishables, pharmaceuticals, mail, express shipments and general cargo.
It is fully licensed to meet all customs, biosecurity and screening requirements for Regulated Air Cargo Agents.
Dedicated express delivery transport trucks which are capable of loading airside offer swift delivery to freight forwarders within 45 minutes of an aircraft’s arrival.
Swissport will enter the New Zealand air cargo market next month (March 2025) with services at Auckland Airport.
The facility is equipped with the airport’s largest and most advanced X-ray machine, featuring high-penetration, dual-view technology and detection alerts for explosives and narcotics.
