He succeeds Giuseppe Genovesi, who stepped down from his position in July. Lynch joins Swissport from FirstGroup, a leading private sector provider of public transport in the UK, and will report to Warwick Brady, President & CEO of Swissport.

At FirstGroup Plc, Lynch served as Group CIO since 2014. In this role, he drove an ambitious IT transformation and digitisation agenda and positioned FirstGroup Plc to exploit the business opportunities presented by digital transformation. Prior to that, Dave Lynch worked at the Go-Ahead Group Plc, first as Group Technology Director and then as Group Technology and Procurement Director.
Brady, in thanking Peter Billiau for his contributions as interim CIO since July, says: "Peter hit the ground running and has been leading Group IT as a very effective and inspirational CIO.
