SWISS has been an active member of the IATA Fast Travel program since its inception in 2007 and its award of Platinum status has come in the wake of several years of work in this area.
Travellers are continuing to benefit from programmes such as this: the technology may be discreet but the end product, a swifter, more seamless airport experience, is what is noticed by the passenger.
Platinum status in the Fast Travel programme is only awarded to airlines that offer at least 80% of their passengers self-services as defined by IATA. These elements include online check-in and self-bag drop. SWISS becomes only the second European carrier to be granted the Fast Travel Platinum Award by IATA.
