Sheremetyevo International airport has successfully completed the commissioning and pilot testing of the hydrant system for the centralised refuelling of aircraft at the newest third independent fuelling facility.

The AERO-Sheremetyevo JSC centralised aircraft fueling facility began to operate at full capacity in accordance with the project.
The third fuelling facility was implemented by AERO-Sheremetyevo JSC (a joint venture comprising LUKOIL-AERO and Sheremetyevo International airport) as part of Sheremetyevo’s long term development programme.
The capacity is put at 1.2m tonnes of jet fuel per year, while the nominal volume of the tank battery is 20,000 cubic metres, with the possibility of increasing this to 25,000 cubic metres.
The hydrant system on the apron of Terminal B at the North Terminal Complex Sheremetyevo has 49 hydrant columns, which provide the ability to refuel all types of aircraft at 27 parking aprons of single-aisle aircraft.
