This is in line with the company's plans to train its employees and develop them remotely through modern technologies for a number of operational programs, which were previously inaugurated by Eng. Omar Najjar, SGS’s CEO.
Under the supervision of Mohammed Alshaikh, Chief Strategic Relations & Internal Control Officer, Eng. Ahmed Abdulhafeez, General Manager Training Academy, SGS said: “Altogether 188 employees from the Jeddah station have taken part in the four major programs (as a first phase) through e-learning, which allows the employee to attend the training session from any location at any time.” Subsequently the staff member attends an electronic test in one of the test centres under the supervision of the academy’s trainers and training supervisors at that station. Once the employee passes the test, the certificate will be sent directly by e-mail and the training information will be updated automatically to reflect the situation in the employee’s file.
The first tests were held this month in co-operation with the training supervisors at Jeddah. As a second phase, and within a month, e-learning will cover all the major courses in the main stations of Jeddah, Riyadh, Medinah and Dammam. Thereafter, phase three will be implemented for the local stations.
